The Zenith Scheme: A Novel Modulation Technique for MIMO OFDM Systems with 2D-FFT
About The Zenith Scheme
The Zenith Scheme is a novel wireless data transmission scheme for OFDM MIMO systems, which modulates data on two dimensional sinewaves, where the dimensions are frequency and the antenna, respectively. It is an open-loop scheme, i.e., does not need the receiver feedback. It achieves much better performance then the existing closed-loop solutions in certain types of channels, such as when the spatial correlation is high. It is motivated by the fact that typical wireless channels are sparse in the frequency domain, resulting in low correlations, hence better separation, between the Channel State Information (CSI) of data modulated on 2D different sinewaves.
